Wayne Childs

Games Played:

Wayne played for Rosewater Juniors winning a Rosewater Senior Colts Best and Fairest in 1964.  The next year was promoted to the B Grade and after a couple of games moved to the A's.  Was second ruck to Wally Anderson.  Fos Williams and Lloyd Zucker came across and observed Wayne and invited him to Alberton.  The offer wasn't taken up due to other commitments.  However was part of an A Grade Rosewater side which was among the first to appear on TV - the Amateur League introducing televised games (and believed the first football to be televised live).
